Frequently asked questions

No. Once a group’s celebrations are on, PeopleWisher checks every day and sends each greeting by itself at the time you chose. See How PeopleWisher works.

Yes. The Free plan lets you add people and send birthday emails. SMS, WhatsApp, graphics and social shoutouts are on paid plans. See Plans, billing and invoices.

What if I don’t know someone’s birth year?

Section titled “What if I don’t know someone’s birth year?”

That’s fine. Only the month and day are needed. Without the year, PeopleWisher can’t show their age, so avoid {age} in that group’s messages.

At the Send Message at time you set for each channel, in your account’s time zone. See Set up a group schedule.

Will someone get two greetings if they’re in two groups?

Section titled “Will someone get two greetings if they’re in two groups?”

Each person gets at most one celebration per channel per day.

Can I send a greeting right now, outside the schedule?

Section titled “Can I send a greeting right now, outside the schedule?”

Yes. Open the person’s page to send a one-off message, or use Quick send in Campaigns to send to a whole group now or later today.

Open History in the left menu. Open any record to see the exact message and whether it arrived.

Can I use a different message for different people?

Section titled “Can I use a different message for different people?”

Yes. Put people in different groups with their own schedules, or use special personal messages so every person gets their own greeting.

Yes. Add {unsubscribe_url} to your email templates to include an unsubscribe link. People who unsubscribe won’t get your celebration emails again, and their address shows as blocked on the Schedule page.

Do recipients know the greeting was automatic?

Section titled “Do recipients know the greeting was automatic?”

Greetings come from your business (your email address, sender ID or WhatsApp number), with your wording. PeopleWisher’s name isn’t shown, unless you use the shared PeopleWisher Email Service, which sends from a PeopleWisher address.

Email replies go to the Reply-to email set on your email template.

Birthday emails from your schedules are included in your plan. SMS and X posts are paid from your wallet. See Wallet, top-ups and message costs.

Paid messages such as SMS are skipped and we email you. Top up, then resend from the Schedule page.

There’s no export button yet. Contact support to ask for a copy of your contacts.

Delete the person from their page. This also removes their message history and graphics. See Delete contacts and groups.
